About Me
Throughout my life, I always had a way to channel my creativity. No matter if that was being a stage manager for musicals/plays, working in graphic design, or even creating content for social media pages I ran. In search of a career, I tried to shelve and redirect some of my creative avenues but only ended up feeling unfulfilled. I thought that those creative avenues throughout my life were ancillary but I’ve come to realize that they were always a major aspect of my life. After feeling unfulfilled, understanding this realization, and speaking to some friends in the field, I knew I needed to pursue a career in UX.
My experience working as a stage manager taught me how to work with other teams while continuing to oversee my own team and juggle various responsibilities at the same time. My involvement in graphic design taught me how to work with a project manager as well as the client to meet tight and shifting deadlines. It also taught me how to work directly with a client and it helped me understand the design feedback loop. My background in communications has also given me experience with research, presenting, and working with a team.
Although I’m a designer who will grind until every detail is in place and is passionate about their work, I enjoy dad jokes and puns while also pointing out questionable design choices on things I see. Outside of work you’ll find me delving into beautiful worlds in video games, jamming out to music, and attempting to make tasty cocktails. You can also find me rewatching How I Met Your Mother on a continuous cycle, I’ve honestly lost track of how many times I’ve rewatched it.
